The music reference post (stonetools) was brought to the Moderator Team's attention and it was decided that it is an analogy close to the current debate.
The additional in-thread follow-up comments were also brought to our attention. Personal attacks are not tolerated on MobileRead.

Everyone is entitled to share his or her opinion politely and to receive the same in response.
The tone of this thread has shown that there are clearly different viewpoints, different personalities, and has moved into personal attacks.
If you are unable to remain polite, it is better to refrain from posting anything.
In addition, please make use of the Ignore user function [Go to your "User CP" and under "Settings & Options" you will see "Edit Ignored Users". Please place that member on your list. You may use the short cut method by just clicking on the user name, above the avatar, and at the bottom is the option to "Add **** to your Ignore List.].
If you wish to continue posting on MobileRead, please acknowledge that views differ, use the ignore function, and move on.
