My sister and I went to Amsterdam today to see the Dick Bruna (author of Miffy) exhibition in the Rijksmuseum. What a disappointment! The museum has been renovating for years now and only have one wing open to public and a "core" collection to show to visitors. IMHO it's more the core of the core collection: they only show the middle section of the Night Watch. The exhibition about Dick Bruna was only one small room with a couple of his posters and how he develops his covers and Miffy drawings. You can also listen to an interview but that was just the standard stuff most Dutch people already know about him. I'm glad I got a Museumcard and didn't have to pay €12,50 for it! The renovations are done in 2013 so I advice people to wait until the reopen fully before visiting.

The day wasn't a complete waste, we walked to the museum from the station and it was a really nice walk. On the way back we shopped, I got some stuff at Lush and some dvd's (Falcone and Romanzo Criminale the tv series). We had a great lunch on Spui.

Now I'm tired and I'm going to relax, watch a couple of Fringe season 2 episodes and read a bit. Tomorrow, after sleeping late I'm going to reinstall my desktop, not looking forward to that!
