I have also had this happen(I wouldn't really call it a problem, just an inconvenience), I don't think its related to the other white screen, at least not directly. While the other white screen is almost definitely a hardware issue, this one seems more like software. I would kinda guess it has to do with the signals to the LCD getting garbled when first turning on, though I really don't know if/how that could happen.
