You might want to find a copy of Elixir, an app that monitors all sorts of stuff on your PE (and plenty of stuff your PE doesn't have!
).
I don't remember offhand where I got it -- was originally suggested by Franky -- but you can search the forum for "Elixir" and find a link, I'm sure.
The lack of a "close" button has been one of the hardest things for me to get used to with Android! It just seems strange . . .
