It's not clear from the article, but if you look at the IDC article it's based on, they are talking about tablet sales in the first quarter of this year. I.e., from January to March - after Christmas and (more importantly) before the iPad 2.

I think it's a good bet that iPad sales have not continued to decline YTD.
