Vicente Blasco Ibáñez (Valencia, 29 de enero de 1867 – Menton, Francia, 28 de enero de 1928) fue un escritor, periodista y político español.
La obra de Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, en la mayoría de las historias de la literatura española en uso hechas en España, se califica por sus características generales como perteneciente al Naturalismo literario. También se pueden observar, en su primera fase, algunos elementos costumbristas y regionalistas.
