The only way to combat the hideous blurry effects which anti-aliased fonts produce is to up the resolution to the point where there the number of partially-on pixels (those that are set to various levels of grey instead of on or off in order to create the
illusion of greater resolution than is actually available) is reduced to a minimum or eliminated entirely. And since virtually every OS for every device from eReaders to tablets to phones to computers are forcing anti-aliased fonts on us users, the advancement of screen technology to the point of laser-printer resolution can not possibly come soon enough.
264 dpi isn't nearly enough resolution to entirely rid us of the evils of anti-aliasing, and replace faux-resolution with actual resolution, but it is a big step in the right direction, at least for LCD screens.
