Thank heaven for small favors!
As for me, I'm being grateful. We went to Chris's parents today for a "surprise" party for his birthday. (Two things Chris hates are surprises and being lied to, so I decided his mother's surprise wasn't worth Chris being upset with me so I told him). The family party went well, and all was good until we came off one highway onto another on the way home, and the brake pedal went all the way to the floor and the brake dummy light came on. Chris got it to a safe exit and safely stopped, and took a look, discovering no brake fluid left and a leak in the brake lines. So his buddy Alan came and picked us and the truck up (he has access to a trailer). So we're all (all being us and Chris's Blazer) in one piece, no one got hurt, but man that is scary.
