After having read your question, I realized that on my Linux computer Calibre installed in English, whereas on my husbands Windows PC it's in Dutch.
On Linux OS, you can give each account a different languages, so I work with an English account there, while my son is using the same computer in Dutch.
I guess that when you first install Calibre, the language used for the OS / account is used as default, but you see you can use (almost) every other language... A beautiful piece of software I think...
