The series was taken from a series of books written by Bernard Cornwall, so I went looking... I found several 'Sharp's...' books and just started reading the first... VERY entertaining! It moves along quickly like a TV show, but with a bit deeper characterization. And having watched the mini-movies, I am able to put faces to the various characters that come up, which makes it even more enjoyable! This is NOT Dickens or Dostoyevsky, but it is page-turning action for those that like this sort of thing. I'm one of those who like this sort of thing! LOL!

Sharpe is very popular over here, and has been around for years. For some reason I have never been able to bring myself to read them. Maybe I'll reconsider once I've fully tapped out the zombie vein...
