I'm satisfied with a month-long TBR list. I read both books that I blog about (indie books submitted to me), and books outside of that. For the indie books, I finish one book a week, so I've committed to reviewing 4 at any given time. I don't like that number to get too high, because I'm always paranoid that someone will submit a really excellent book that I can't get around to. I read the first five pages, and skim through the sample, then commit to reviewing it. Even if it ends up not being my kind of read, I force myself to finish it so I can leave behind a review and add one more to the "Books Read in 2011" list.
For stuff outside of my indie blogging, I still have a ton of both ebooks (free, not purchased. I read everything I buy instantly), and paperbooks to tide me over at any given point in time. I have a 10 page list of books to read, but I don't own that many of them, I mostly borrow them from the library. So I read them in the order of (1) my mood (2) are they free in the library? As much as I read consistently, I'm not a hoarder like others in this board ;D And I haven't bought ebooks recently because I've been so busy with the free review copies.
