Easy! Whenever a book is being sold at a DRM-free retailer (like Smashwords), I buy there instead. When it's a legacy-pubbed DRM book... well... I haven't bought one lately, so I can't comment :P I'm not keen on jumping on the $12.00 for a DRM book.
