In the Library, I select "My Files", then "Memory Card", and I can see the folders that I created and drill down into them. The only drawback is that, the ePubs don't show the book cover images

I was really debating whether or not to return the Nook Simple Touch, because I can't stand not being able to have some sort of book folder structure, but now that I know this works, I'm keeping it!! I can live with not seeing the book cover images... but will play around with it... maybe will discover something new.
You know, I moved from my Astak EzReader to the Nook and the one thing I loved about it was the File Management. Nothing sophisticated, but it allowed me to save books in Directories on the device. So, I had a directory for each category of book and subdirectories by author. The device displayed that structure. It was pretty easy for me to navigate.

Adding new books just meant putting them in the right directory and Calibre could even manage that.

I really miss that feature....
