Night Owl Reviews Awards Postmodern Medicine 5 Stars

Josie of Night Owl Reviews just awarded Postmodern Medicine a whopping 5 stars and made it a Top Pick. Here's a quick quote:

"One thing I can say about Postmodern Medicine is that I was surprised throughout by the plot and its cleverness. I laughed out loud in several places, yet the author managed to keep the tension and to keep our hero sympathetic. I was worried about Mardin even if he didn't seem too worried about himself."

We’d like to welcome Trevor Price to the lineup of authors here at Untreed Reads. Postmodern Medicine is Trevor’s first release with us, and we were extremely impressed. Equal parts satire and social commentary, Postmodern is a fictional look at the breakdown of society in the name of earning a buck. We have no doubt people will be discussing the ideas in this work for some time to come.

About Postmodern Medicine:

Ayeshia Smith has died, her organs donated to recipients around the country. FromBirth Ltd. and its leader Dr. Groome intend to profit from her death by creating a business of harvesting and donating organs. In an effort to increase the number of people willing to sign up to be a part of the venture, Mr. Mardin is hired to create a video for promotion of the company.

In the process of making the film and interviewing those who received her organs, Mardin realizes those who benefitted aren’t as gracious as (or grateful to) their donor. In the battle of profits vs. humanity, will anyone even remember Ayeshia Smith?

Author Trevor Price provides a timely, satirical commentary about the potential future of medicine in the world, and the sacrifice of humanity in the name of turning a profit.

About the Author:

Growing up in the industrial wasteland of the Midlands, moving to London was inevitable. After having worked in London in the Printing and I.T. sector, Trevor enjoys a much more sedate pace of life in rural Shropshire with his two great loves, his wife and his bees. Writing and beekeeping are the cloeset thing to work he does these days. He also enjoys watching horror films and chewing over ancient Greek texts whilst munching his wife’s homemade cakes.
