Thanks for the link. Over at Memoware there are converted CIA World Factbooks in various different formats and sizes.

I have the version where the file size is about 13.7MB and has the maps and flags, but there are different versions going from hi-res+, to hi-res, to lo-res, to text only. Plucker, iSilo, and iSiloX are all supported.

Maybe I'll try out the new mobile version and compare/contrast the two.
