Keep in mind
what I was responding to. If you read the quote as well, they were wanting something like a first-gen Nook with the LCD screen and better battery life. I was more explaining why B&N
didn't go that route.
For some people, a week is perfectly fine (I get a little over a week with WiFi on, and only turn WiFi off if I travel). For others who do a bit of trekking, then a week is too close for comfort. I could take a Nook STR backpack camping without worrying. But the first-gen Nook would be an iffy proposition. Those of us in that situation like eReaders because of the small amount of weight and volume it adds to what we need to take.
