I don't want to overheat anything (since heat will kill anything around it - and I want this guy to last awhile). It seems that everyone just accepts it and considers it normal. This is uncomfortably hot - as in you do not want to hold on to it for more than a minute! I can't imagine how people would be able to use it for extended periods (well, probably not since the heat means that the battery is going to be depleted quickly). BTW: I do not have any film or covering on my pocket eDGe and I was only browsing (this forum incidentally!).

If you use both WiFi and the processor at the same time it will heat up quicker. I can't really know if there is any real difference in the heat as that's all subjective... If it gets to be too much maybe there is some way to get in on a warranty or something...
Overclocking an eDGe would be the same as overclocking on a PC, you sacrifice electrical power to get a faster CPU and more heat. On the eDGe it could mean running some apps better(angry birds for example), and multitasking slightly better.
