Maybe not a literary titan, but I've found Scarlett Thomas's ~Popco~ and ~The End of Mr. Y~ to be enjoyable reads. I liked the overall geekiness to Popco and the subversive anti-corporation stance in places. I've read Y twice now and it's just an odd book that I can't quite describe. Maybe Science Fiction, Mystery and Literature all rolled into a bewildering story.
