As far as I'm concerned, calibre's unability to put the actual files where I want then, rather than where it want them, means that calibre cause more problem than it fixes.
My tiny still buggy program isn't as fully featured as calibre (probably never will), but it provides more service to me already. And it jumps when I say jump.

Bonanza, calibre would be the right tool to handle multi format though. It knows the nook need ePub, the kindle mobi, and so on. And will send to device the right format. (And auto convert if need be).
