I jot down the name of any publisher I come across that doesn't offer deals with the promo codes. So far in my shopping, I've only come across two: Little, Brown and Company, and Grand Central Publishing.

Thus, every time I want to use a promo code and come across the name of that particular publisher on the ebook's page in the kobo store, I don't click on the "buy now" button. I back off and look for another book to use the promo code on. I don't let it get me frustrated. I just learn to avoid those publishers when shopping for deals.
