I know its a pet peeve for alot of people, but I just shelve a book everytime I add one. its not that hard to hold the foward button down to fly through my library to get to the book I just added and pop it on the right shelf.

I dont see this, or a great number of other, proprietary systems being open to the extent that your work in Calibre is going to equal shelving on your device. And I am at peace with that.

I just pull up my Calibre and take my cue from that. I tend to shelve only the books I know i'm going to want to reread and and the books I haven't read yet. And when I have some down time, that's when I like to play around and just go through and add other book as I go along.

But I'm a play around junkie, I love going into my den and just fiddle with my Media Monkey for my digital music collection and Calibre for my books and I bring in my nook . I enjoy that time so I"m like you, I'm at peace with it.
