I have one of those iGo chargers with a USB end. I then purchased an adapter on EBAY ($.65) to convert the mini usb end to a micro usb (for the reader). This seems to work fine except that if I inadvertently leave there reader plugged in with the power off...the reader will discharge.

It is hard to imagine that there is a "smart" circuit somewhere that says: "If there is something plugged in, but with no positive power connected, then discharge". The same craziness I guess holds when you plug in to your computer that happens to be shutdown.
