Australia has a value-added tax ("GST") of 10% which is part of the advertised price, but on personal imports of less than AUS$1000 value they don't assess GST. So I paid AU$130.15 for my US$138.97 Kobo Touch, including with shipping.
I expect it'll retail here for over AU$200, if it ever arrives... The two Australian stores which retailed the Kobo Wifi are in financial difficulty, apparently people are buying books from overseas for cover price, rather than paying 250% of the cover price for the privilege of queueing at a cash register. ^_^
