It's too bad that the era of ereaders that don't restrict format (like my trusty old Bebook One) has passed, at least for the major players in the ereader field.
I'll just continue to use the Bebook rather than the Sony for mobi/prc - as long as one doesn't need a touch screen, it's really adequate for most ereading (and it has an easily replaced and inexpensive battery!)
