I was advised by Adobe CS that it was 6 for Desktop/Lap Tops and 6 Mobile devices allowed at one time.

By the way if you ever hit the wall just call them and they can reset the count.

Also there is no such thing as unregistering a device from ADE unlike the Kindles. That is why you can use up all your counts if you end up with hardware replacements as well as OS re-installs.

I have 1 jetbook, 1 ALP, 3 Andriods running Kobo, Kobo and ADE on my 3 laptops and a real Kobo Touch all able to access the same ADE account.

I had my count setting reset once last year as I had several PC OS-re-installs and I had burnt up several Adobe ADE access lives doing FW updates on both the jetBook and Aluratek Libre Pro. Some of the earlier FW's wiped out the ADE authorization code that gets left on your device.
