this was confusing. the belt goes around your waist (at least) once, right? you were talking about the way the belt goes, first from the tummy, then to the back, then reappears and meets the buckle? or the direction of the other end of the belt? and that direction is from the belt user, or from the others looking at him?

in case I am confusing, it's counterclockwise for me

they are awfully ugly, no doubts.

I tried them once or twice. And I didn't think they were comfortable, not at all. My toes were pushed up too often to my taste

But these are real comfortable: plastic flip flops in Vietnam
They look horrible (I strongly object to wearing one to go to downtown), but are the most comfortable flip flops I've ever known.
