I don't really find the numbers that surprising. And Pew is a reputable polling organization, so the numbers are likely pretty accurate. It's not a poll that only tracked respondents.

The most interesting data to me is the change in the 30-49 y.o. age group - their e-reader ownership has almost tripled, but their tablet ownership rate only went up by 50%.
