Look, why do you think I started this thread? I currently have over 400 ebooks in my TBR folder, 95%+ of which I've actually paid money for — they're not just freebies.

May was a 'bad' month — 116 books bought in total, including magazine subscriptions. 157 ebooks bought this year in all. And only 109 read!

It was the 60% off at Fictionwise that did it. I bought all the back issues of F&SF that I was missing, some other magazines, and loads of other books from authors I'm interested in. All good books, and with the 60% off, under $2 per book.

But even at the rate of the past six months, I have enough ebooks to last the next two years or so.

That's why I'm so pleased to be able to say that it's now been 26 days since I last bought an ebook!

I just wish I'd thought of this thread before the 60% off at Fictionwise in May. I might have been able to resist at least some of the purchases.

[My purchases at my main ebook stores:
Webscription.net: about 700 ebooks since 2001
Fictionwise: 1392 ebooks since 2003
Amazon: about 30 ebooks since 2010 (but over 400 freebies)

So about 2100 ebooks bought since 2001, and I've read about 1700 of them so far (423 to go), which works out at an average of 170 a year. This seems about right. In 2010 (the first year I kept track) I read 160. This year it looks like I might read 200 or so.]
