I actually have not heard that plane announcement yet - anything singling out readers specifically. But on an Alitalia flight last year, the flight attendant did not let me use the reader for the ENTIRE flight, because 'it is not an approved device'. Incredible  |
I'm glad I timed my 350 purchases when I did! It was during the $129 Valentine's Day sale.
I read another post by someone that a flight attendant wouldn't let them read the entire flight too. I don't think they mentioned the airline. They speculated that the attendant didn't realize that ereaders have an airplane mode just like phones or no wireless at all like some of the Sony models. That would be really frustrating! I always bring a newspaper and magazine with me too.
