My 505 case is a soft leather (internally fortified) flip top model, similar to this one. The make is iEasy, which I think might have become Tuf-Luv after I bought it some years ago.
It serves as a stand, sure ... but also (one-handed) as a sun-shade and there's a wee snap-button loop on back cover that looks as though it's meant to hitch onto a belt or something but is, in fact, ideal for ease of holding. You simply slip your first two fingers through it and the thumb of the same hand is free for page-turning.
Something else that gives me a wee kick is the nose-snubbing value to those who swear by print. My reader looks, feels and even smells like one of those rare and posh volumes the local library won't let you take home.
Cost me about thirty bucks, I think. Probably cheaper now. Very, very highly recommended. I'm sure it will outlast even my reader itself (which is a superb piece of Sony kit).
The open-book style case is clumsy and impractical. It's merely a means of protection when your reader isn't being used, and I suspect designed to make a reader look like a 'real' book. What darned nonsense is that! Are we not proud to be book-lovers and e-book readers, unashamedly displaying our preferred means of content presentation?
Luck and best wishes. Neil
