Can the Sony Reader see multi-level Table of Contents.

I recently purchased the first Maximum Ride boxed set from nook.com. The Table of Contents has the three books in the boxed set as the top level TOC and under each book there is a second level of TOC for each Chapter. It seems that the nook (and the Kindle also - I decrypted and converted using Calibre), cannot display anything but the top level of table contents, so when I go to the TOC, all I see is the three books.

Can Sony Readers handle this any better?
