I agree with the bolded part. But I think your original post I commented on,

I personally don't think of tags as "collections". I view tags as tags. I may be able to view something based on them, or filter something based on them, but I don't think of them as "collections". I guess it's just me.

FWIW, I'm a little bit behind on the latest computer terminologies.
