CONVERTING LIBRARY EBOOKS

I just read the above message and only understand part of it. Sometime this year could be December, a long way away. I too tried unsuccessfully to download an epub book from my library's Overdrive Media Console, (

Path:/Users/etana.mbp/Documents/Digital Editions/Eat_Pray_Love.pdf
Event Detail: Error #2038 --- end ---
What is the " .acsm " file

EatPrayLove9781429515252.acsm
Okay, so

Can I remove the DRM, if so how?
Can I convert epub books from the library for use on my Kindle? I would be very happy and satisfied!
