To be honest, I prefer my readers backlit. Livig in Enland, we don't get many sunny days any way (it is pouring outside right now and all lights are on at 14:37!) therefore sunlight has never been an issue. I had best ereading experience on Pocket Pcs (the small form factor, the backlit screen, adjustable brightness, buttons in the right place, excellent MS Reader for PPC) but for PDFs and magazines I prefer my iPad (again backlit!)
