I certainly wouldn't mind gaining a few pounds. Being stick-thin is not all it's cracked up to be. For one thing, it hurts a lot more when I fall down. Which I do occasionally, from othostatic hypotension or, as my friends call it, "dizzy girl syndrome". I actually got a concussion one night. You should have seen me trying to explain to the people I was with that NO I was not drunk. But hey, it's always good for a laugh.
I have kind of an adult version of "failure to thrive". My body doesn't soak up the nutrients it needs properly. It's hard for me to gain weight or build muscle mass. I'm just glad I was born a girl.
