I have a black and there is a fingerprint problem -- and not just when eating KFC. Although I think it isn't bad enough to not take the white over black if you like black, because as stated it does give the appearance of greater screen contrast as well as just looks really sleek! I definitely has a better "feel" to it being rubberized, and seems to be more durable. The original Kobo finish was very easy to scratch despite being a hard plastic and didn't feel as good quality.
