@Shel re: Facebook - I didn't jump onboard until after I left the corporate environment. I knew if I got on Facebook I wouldn't be able to behave myself, so I waited until then. Not that I'm that crazy on there, but I like being myself. But then, I've never been the type to call in sick and then post party pics anyway. Some people have no common sense. My FB friends are mostly cool - the ones I see in real life know not to tag me in a photo without my permission.
So many of them are always on the road, it's the only way to keep up with them. And of course, friends from back home. I, too, had a few of those "why are you friending me?" moments. There's one girl I don't ever remember talking to in high school who acted like we were great friends from way back. I mean, it's not that I didn't like her, our paths just never really crossed.
I've unfriended people for being too political or overly religious on my wall. I stay away from politics and stuff on there for the most part. That makes my Facebook wall a lot more peaceful and fun than many I've seen.
