I will have to admit that I hated "Shakespeare in Love"; it makes me want to kick a poor kitten (not that I will ever act on it, poor kitty). And the only reason I keep paying to watch the Harry Potter movies on the first day of their releases is because of the books. It's a strange logic but what to do?

My second love after books is movies, so here's a "short" list (in no particular order):
- Lord of the Rings trilogy (I watched the last movie 11 times in the cinema; and the extended trilogy twice in cinema and numerous times on DVD)
- Schindler's List (it's depressing but I can't get enough of WWII movies)
- Batman Begins/The Dark Knight (and I'm not a Batman fan)
- In Bruges (I love Ralph Fiennes, and this was such a funny film)
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- Pan's Labyrinth (depressing)
- The King's Speech (I may seem biased because there is Colin Firth; but I like it)
- A Single Man (depressing again)
- Bridget Jones' Diary (because I like Colin Firth and chick flicks)
- Reservoir Dogs
- Kill Bill (I hate horror films but gore is awesome; can't decide if I like Ingluorious Basterds all that much to be on this list)
- V For Vendetta (I'm not a huge fan of Natalie Portman, but this was a great movie)
- The Hangover (it's silly but funny, and I love it regardless)

My favourite old-old movies!
- His Girl Friday (awesome awesome film! very fun and funny, rewatches are always fun)
- Arsenic & Old Lace (another funny Cary Grant movie)
- Casablanca (my favourite actress of all times: Ingrid Bergman)
- Spellbound (one of the more underrated movies)
- To Kill A Mockingbird (and the book, obviously)
- The Apartment (I adore Jack Lemmon!)
- The Hustler (Paul Newman, that's all)
- Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Elizabeth Taylor is beautiful!)
- Notorious (Ingrid Bergman + Alfred Hitchcock - nothing to not like!)

My favourite non-English movies!
- Amelie
- Der Untergang (incredible acting by Bruno Gantz)

My favourite cartoons!
- Beauty and the Beast (Disney, not other versions)
- Toy Story series
- The Incredibles
- Wall-E

I bet there's a lot more I forgot. I used the IMDB Top 250 list as a guide, and there are plenty of gems I like. DVDs in next room so I can't consult that.
