Personally, I love that she gives back. Look at all the rock stars that left the UK in the 70's for example because of the high taxes. She hasn't. I read somewhere once that the taxes that she pays alone covers the cost of the very program that once helped her. That blew my mind.

Yeah she took a chance indeed since series books and books about boarding schools don't usually have such a following. Of course she not only has given back in the form of taxes in the UK but by helping to inspire millions of young children to read. That's the more important, longer lasting contribution.
