There must be a trillion folks in Oregon e-reading, judging by the wait lists at my library (part of a consortium), but I rarely see an e-reader out in public. In fact, other than a library e-reader playday, I don't think I've seen any besides hubby's in town at all. I guess some folks are seeing mine though, since it comes along with me. I whipped it out today to read in Wal-Mart while waiting on a very slow checker.

Did see several Kindles on the plane when I flew to southern CA recently and one Nook Color. And my roommate at the convention had a Sony, and some other folks had Kindles on 'em. None of us had much time for reading though, we'd just brought our readers along for airport layovers.

I will say that at the library playday, only a couple people were younger than me, one of whom was a librarian. The rest were definitely an older crowd and I'm no spring chicken. Oddly, or perhaps not, since we were in a library, Nooks outnumbered the Kindles. That may well change when Kindle gets library access.
