Wow, I had no idea that was possible - thanks for mentioning it.

Indeed it works very well. Fire up the Calibre server set to port 443 in the Settings, use the web browser on the Kobo Touch to navigate to the IP address of your computer with port number :443 appended, and you will see your Calibre library listed. Tap a book, confirm the Download? popup, wait for it to complete, go back to the Kobo home screen, and there it is!
