It is thought that the e-book versions will be sold directly off the Pottermore site when they are released. Pottermore Publishing will have full control over when the books are released and the price point. The e-book files will be able to be read across a range of devices, including Amazon's Kindle.
I'm not aware of any website (besides The Kindle Store) that directly sells DRM'ed mobi's that are readable on the Kindle (readable without manual intervention). Will Pottermore be the very first site that Amazon outsources their DRM to? Or will the ebooks be DRM free? Or is this just all blind, uninformed, wild speculation?
