thank you. I pretty much thought I was the only lowbrow here devoted to spending hours of her life reading useless and and moronic carp. Classics? Bah. They made me read those in school.

Really it all comes down to how married you are to what books you want to read. There are tons of free eBooks. There are even tons of free legally obtained eBooks. If you are open to reading what is available for free legally, then you'll find enough free to never have to buy a book again.

But if the books you absolutely have to read come with a price tag and your library doesn't have them on Overdrive .... then the only legal thing to do is pay.
