That is interesting, I frequent 3 different B&N stores and no chairs have been removed and people sit on the floor to read all the time because the chairs are often all taken. The one closest to me has tables and chairs outside the Starbucks boundary and you can almost never get a seat because so many people are there reading, working or studying.

If B&N were to actually make this change they might as well close the stores because if you cannot hang out and browse books who would go there.


I do bring my nook to the store and have on occasion seen others do the same. I wish they would make a deal with Starbucks so the free drinks coupons work there too. I am jealous
