Revionist history. There were those who were completely at odds with using Napster and number 2. Most people used iTunes to manage their iPod, not to buy music. I think I remember reading that only about 25% of all music on iPods was bought at a digital download site.

No, Apple built hardware that people wanted to buy (even though there were devices with more features on the market at the same time)
