I don't know about the 40 yrs limit. We'd probably cut out a lot of good movies that way. Some of those we've already used were more than 40 yrs old I think (It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World for example came out in 1963). I do agree we need to make sure they are well known enough to be recognized though. Perhaps having a clue along with the quote or having something in the quote that gives a hint (i.e. "I never drink...wine.").
