I was excited about going to co-ed Onsen (hot springs spas) when I first moved to Japan. The pictures always showed one or two beautiful young women enjoying the springs. The reality is more akin to wannabee's photo. In 20 years of going to Onsen in Japan I have NEVER, NEVER, NEVER seen any women under the age of 143... Lots of young men, lots of kids with their fathers, but the wives and young women all go to the separated non-co-ed Onsens. It's not fair.
