I thinkmy favorite was the Little House on the Prairie series. I carried the entire boxed set in the car with me wherever we went, until I had read them all. I was the first series I ever read and owned.
My favorite early readers were just about anything Dr. Seuss (for the rhymes and cool drawings), and Richard Scarry (for the individual captions and the hilarious vehicles).
