At Starbucks this weekend a guy and his son each had Kindles.

A few weeks ago at a Mexican taco joint someone had a Nook.

I stopped bringing my ebook reader to the car-wash. I could never get any reading done because people kept noticing my ereader and asking me about it.

In December I tried to get my wife to read something on my Sony 505 and she said "I dont think I would like one of those." (I had 2 kindles in Christmas wrap -grrr). End of January she apologized and said she really likes her Kindle. (She loves the Dictionary feature which I never use- whoda thunk?)

It's one of those things like a Car or a desk chair that you just have to use for a bit before you really understand how it feels.

And the real bonus:

Pre-order some books from a favorite author: Janet Evanovitch, Kathy Reichs, Lisa Lutz, Preston & Child, etc. When it suddenly shows up on your Kindle - it's like a little un-expected gift.
