Just a quick update - yesterday, while on a long car journey, I was sat in the back with Douglas (my 3 1/2 year old), reading my Kindle, when he asked me to read him a story from it. After a while, I managed to find something suitable and read it to him. He said he enjoyed it
I guess he considers my Kindle to be better than nothing, so I'll be loading up a few children's stories onto it in case of future emergency
